Async will play huge role in the remote-first future. Async will help decrease the number of unproductive meetings (A 3-minute Loom can replace your next 30-minute meeting. Loom made a candle to celebrate a cancelled meeting.)
Async will help hire highly-skilled talents, as companies can hire globally and this team can be spread all over the world
Async will help increase productivity, because people can skip unnessasary meetings and focus on important tasks
Async work gives the freedom to set your own work time and hours
Async gives the freedom to work remotely and out-of-the-office (here is what Gumroad CEO, Sahil Lavingia, says about going fully asynchronous)
Less in-person meetings mean better workflows, processes and operations (as mangers will have to document their processes and share them asynchronously)
On the other hand, Async has its disadvanteges. It will be harder to separate work from free time
