π€ Predictions
Internal Tools may become one of the most important layers of the No-Code future. We will be building our own apps that will meet our requirements.
Internal apps and tools will be built relying on data from new generation spreadsheets(thus, they can quickly develop their own internal tools like CRM). E.g
Glide <> Airtable integration
Softr <> Airtable integration
Internal Tools will speed up the software development process
Internal Tools will bring more creativity to the SaaS space: there is no need to code to build a product anymore.
Internal Tools will help build MVPs even faster. E.g. Upload mock structured data to Airtable; Connect the database to Retool; Visualize it; Get first customers; Verify a product market fit; Build a new, more robust code-led product version.
Internal Tools and No Code will make SaaS verticalized even more. We will see lots of niche products and micro-SaaSβs for a specific audience or vertical soon.
Internal app builders will compete with lots of SaaS categories. For example, why a new business should buy an expensive CRM if they can use No Code tools and build their own CRM that will fit their unique needs? Thus, they can build their own marketplace, CRM, ERP, client portal, internal wiki, employees portal, dashboard, website mobile app, listing etc. E.g.
